CEA’s Tour

During the action-packed 2006 International CES and successful kick-off of CEA’s 2006 national media tour, spokespeople Jim Barry and Jack Wayman are showcasing hundreds of CEA member products on national and local TV and radio news broadcasts, network morning shows and daily newspapers. Here are a few highlights from the Digital Answer Man tour.

Apple Nano (http://www.apple.com/)
Only .27-inches thin and 1.5 ounces, iPod nano packs a lot into its diminutive design. Up to 14 hours of battery life and a bright color display, the iPod nano makes your music look as good as it sounds, thanks to a 1.5-inch color display. Album art appears alongside your songs as you play your favorite tunes.

Sony PSP (http://www.sonystyle.com/)
The PSP™ (PlayStation Portable) has a slim 6.7-inch x 2.9-inch frame that packs a powerful multimedia punch to enable games, music, videos and photos instantly. Use the Memory Stick Duo™ to store digital photos, create custom wallpapers and share photos with the image transfer feature. Download MP3, MP4, WAV or ATRAC3plus music files via
the Memory Stick Duo—or take in a full-length concert on a pre-recorded UMD™. The PSP system’s widescreen LCD also brings gaming to life. The PSP brings the excitement of the big screen wherever—and whenever—you like.

HP Pavilion dv8000 (http://www.hp.com/)
The HP Pavilion dv8000 Notebook PC lets consumers take desktop digital media performance on the road. Experience favorite DVD releases on a 17-inch widescreen display featuring HP BrightView technology for dazzling high-definition detail. The dv8000 is optimized for digital media management (DRM) with a second hard disk drive option for easy storage of digital photos, home movies or music. HP QuickPlay is a cool feature that lets you watch a movie or listen to music without booting up the PC.

OQO Full Windows XP Computer (http://www.oqo.com/)
The OQO model 01+ ultra personal computer (uPC) has a 1 GHz processor, a 30 GB hard drive, 512 MB of RAM, a color transflective display and integrated wireless, as well as FireWire and USB ports. Just 4.9 inches long, it weighs only 14 ounces and can fit in a pocket. For easy typing and cursor control it has a thumb keyboard and mouse buttons as well as digital pen and thumbwheel. Easily connect to wireless networks with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The computer gives you constant access to information and Windows XP programs.

Motorola ROKR Phone with iTunes (http://www.motorola.com/)
The first phone with Apple’s iTunes music player software, this tri-band GSM phone features built-in stereo speakers with surround sound, a VGA camera with flash, Bluetooth, microSD (TransFlash) memory card slot, speakerphone and an airplane mode. It holds up to 100 iTunes songs and a giant color screen shows album art as songs play. It also lets you capture and send video clips or still pictures.
