Bill Gates to Accept CEA’s Digital Patriot Award

CEA’s newest event, the Entertainment Technology Summit, takes place March 14–16, 2006, in Washington, D.C. The two-day Summit focuses on public policy and regulatory issues surrounding the transition to digital and new digital technologies.

Day one kicks off with the 11th annual HDTV Summit: Pipelines, Spectrum and the American Consumer, with a look at issues related to the end of analog broadcasting. The Summit also includes the 2005 Academy of Digital Television Pioneers Awards luncheon and the second annual Digital Patriots Dinner. Microsoft’s Bill Gates will be on hand to accept the Industry Digital Patriot Award for his lifelong commitment to technological innovation and the digital transition.

Day two features a conference titled New Content, Delivery and Devices, focused on digital entertainment options, digital rights management and content delivery in the digital age. The Summit also includes CEA division meetings. For information, visit www.CE.org.
