Sales Coordinator

Basic Function of the Position

To act as an account coordinator by being the primary point of contact on a daily basis for companies exhibiting in a selected exhibit area; including the handling of any customer service questions and concerns as they relate to upgrades, booth moves, payment schedules, directory listings, badge information, etc.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support designated National Account Manager; provide timely and exceptional customer service to companies within designated halls/areas of the International CES. This may include frequent phone correspondence, emails and data entry, especially when they are traveling.  
  • This individual must possess the S.U.R.E attitude: a sense of urgency, responsiveness and empathy when dealing with customers and colleagues. 
  • Sell exhibit space and other opportunities for various CEA events to “non-strategic” accounts. 
  • Develop a solid understanding of product categories and floor plan design, as well as database upkeep and customer service activities.
  • Provide secondary support to remaining Sales team as needed or requested, including special projects as required by the Director of Sales Operations or VP of Sales and Business Development.
  • Prospect for new business utilizing online resources, publications, trade show directories, etc.
  • Assist in developing new areas of the International CES in order to keep up with the latest trends and help the overall health of the show.
  • Assist in training and/or working with temporary sales staff throughout the year.
  • Assist with space selection on-site at the International CES.
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Work Experience

  • At least 1-2 years sales/administrative experience and college degree required.
  • Previous association/trade show experience preferred.

Education/Training

  • College degree or equivalent experience.

Skills/Capabilities/Technical

  • Must possess good organizational skills and have attention for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, change oriented environment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, be customer/team oriented and have the ability work with all staff levels. Must have a can-do, positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, other Windows related software applications and Sales Force.
