Our Employee Benefits Enrich Your Lifestyle
Regular full-time CEA employees have access to many valuable benefits. We are proud of our benefit plans and believe they provide a substantial measure of security, protection and flexibility for our staff and their families, both now and in the future. The following are snapshots of some of the benefits we provide for all full-time employees:

Medical Care Benefit Plan
We offer our employees the flexibility, great coverage, and freedom to choose their doctor through the Desitiny Health Insurance Plan.  Employees receive a personal medical fund to cover their medical expenses.  This fund is portable and unused amounts can be rolled over to the next year.  If an employee exceeds their personal medical fund, they pay a small deductable, then all medical expenses are covered at 100%  Our plan also offers vision benefits along with flexible spending accounts for both medical and dependent care.

Dental Care Benefit Plan
Our dental coverage (Guardian PPO) covers individuals up to a maximum of $1500 per year.  We even provide orthodontic coverage up to a maximum lifetime of $1500.

The total employee cost for medical, dental and vision is only 7 ½ percent of the total monthly premium.  For an individual this is less than $28 per month and for a family this is less than $81 per month. Employees who acquire their own medical insurance from another company can receive an annual taxable opt-out payment of up to $2500 at the end of the year.

Annual Incentive Compensation
Our annual incentive compensation program couples an individual goals’ with CEA’s goal attainment.  Staff can receive up to ten percent of their salary in annual incentive compensation.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
Short-term disability income is provided for all regular full-time employees who are unable to work due to injury or illness. Employees are eligible if they are out of work for five consecutive days or more and are covered at 80 percent of their salary.  Long-term disability insurance is available at a small cost for the employee and provides an amount equal to 60 percent of your monthly earnings ($12,000/mo maximum).

Life Insurance
Employees are covered automatically at two times their annual salary at no cost.  Supplementary insurance may be obtained at a minimal cost.

Retirement Plans - 401(k) and Cash Balance Pension Plan
CEA matches, dollar-for-dollar, the first six percent you contribute to our 401(k) plan. This match is 100 percent vested after one year of employment.  Employees are also eligible for our pension plan (after one year of employement) in which each year contributions are made into your account based on a combination of your age and service.  You are fully vested in the pension plan upon completion of five years of service.


Employee Health & Wellness Program
We have an onsite exercise facility and offer wellness programs that include on-site boot camp, yoga, and strength training -- all free for CEA employees!

Tuition Assistance Program
Employees are eligible to receive 75 percent reimbursement of expenses for up to $5250 each year for tuition reimbursement for programs directly related to their current job.

Metro Subsidy Program
CEA is located just two blocks from the metro, and employees who take public transportation to and from work are eligible to receive up to $105 a month in metro fare.

Lifestyle Flexibility
CEA approaches work hours and time away from the office as a mutual responsibility. As an employer, CEA recognizes that most people juggle delicate life balances. CEA has established some flexibility so that when work or home responsibilities require extra effort, our employees can be where they need to be. A 35-hour workweek helps, too.


Flextime
Employees may adjust their hours within a range of time or days to suit their needs.

Paid Time Off
CEA combines vacation and sick leave into a central system for personal leave, whether is it for vacation, illness, personal business or any other reason. Employees begin accruing leave on their first day and receive 19 days their first year.  Leave is earned as follows:

  • 0-2 years = 19 days
  • 2-5 years = 21 days
  • 5-10 years = 23 days
  • 10+ years = 27 days.  

We have 10 paid holidays and offer funeral, jury duty, marriage, and military paid leave. 

Summer Hours
CEA offers the option of working extra hours Monday through Thursday in return for leaving early on Fridays during summer months. Many employees take advantage of these long weekends to beat the traffic to the beach or mountains and return to work refreshed on Monday.

Broadband Reimbursement
Employees can receive up to $500 a year to help pay for their internet broadband access at home.
