Key Success Factors
Employee Training and Career Development

CEA realizes that training is a vital part of an employee’s career development. We support employees as they work toward individual career goals. Employees acquire additional skills for their present positions and new skills for future opportunities through training and team participation, as well as new projects and initiatives.

Career Development
CEA invests in its employees through a comprehensive career development and measurement program. Each staff member, along with his or her supervisor, crafts a year-round plan based on 12 key success factors.

Internal Training
Our in-house training program provides an array of learning opportunities, seminars and workshops on topics such as communication skills, supervisory skills, team building and leadership skills. We encourage our employees to attend these professional development courses as part of their overall development plan.

Lunch & Learn
These programs are more casual in nature and cover topics such as nutrition, financial planning and balancing work and family life. Our own staff experts often lead industry-related sessions on topics such as broadband and HDTV.

Development Resources
CEA’s Resource Library offers books, videos and other tools to assist employees in developing professional skills. Here they can learn new computer programs, polish their management skills and much more.

Tuition Assistance
All full-time employees are eligible to receive tuition reimbursement for college coursework that is job-related or for career advancement. Reimbursement is 75 percent of expenses up to $5,250 per calendar year.

External Training
CEA supports employee training outside the organization. We participate in and encourage training sponsored by the association community, such as AMA and GWSAE.
