Coordinator, Awards Programs

The Consumer Electronics Association is looking for an Awards Programs Coordinator to assist in the execution of daily activities and functions of assigned CEA/CES awards programs.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the implementation of the Innovations Design and Engineering Awards and Mark of Excellence Awards programs, developing a strong knowledge of the program rules, processes and procedures.
  2. Assist with the logistics associated with the promotion and display of the Innovations Showcase at CES and other events as well as the Mark of Excellence Awards Presentation.
  3. Provide superior customer service interface with both internal and external clients.
  4. Develop sources and perform research to identify and solicit candidates for the assigned awards programs, including telemarketing and e-mail outreach efforts.
  5. Other duties in support of CES Projects as assigned.

Work Experience:
1 year of relevant program or event coordination experience, preferably in an association or trade show setting. Previous sales and marketing experience preferred.


Education/Training:
B.A./B.S. or equivalent years of relevant work experience.

Skills/Capabilities/Technical:

  • Must possess superior organizational skills and be able to develop a strong knowledge of program details.
  • Must efficiently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Must be solutions-oriented, with strong strategic thinking skills and a bias towards action.
  • Must be customer/team oriented, with superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-related software.

Budget and Staff:

  • Will assist with budget tracking and reporting.
  • Will assist with coordinating activities of assigned temporary staff.

Additional Information:
Travel to CES in January is required, as well as possible periodic attendance at CEA events.
