CEA Marketing Intern
The Consumer Electronics Association has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Intern to provide support to the CEA Marketing team.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating various department programs, projects and activities.
Respond to phone calls, email and other correspondence from internal and external customers.
Type, edit, proof and coordinate the preparation and distribution of any department materials.
Coordinate general mailings and event shipments.
Update and maintain department databases, contact lists and files.
Assist in drafting content for websites, newsletters, flyers, etc.
Assist with HTML programming of electronic direct mail (EDMs).
Assists with meeting support including preparation of meeting announcements and supporting materials, coordinating room setup and catering menu, serving as meeting scribe. May also coordinate individual schedules and conferences calls.
Assist with tracking department budget and other spreadsheet tracking reports.
Performs other duties as required by business needs.
Work Experience:
At least one year (full or part-time) work experience in an office setting.
Education/Training:
The ideal candidate should have completed or be working towards a college degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field.
Necessary skills include: knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, good customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Information:
Duration of this internship is from June 2008 through January 2009
This position requires a minimum 35 hour work week and has a pay rate of $14.00/hr.
Candidate must be able to travel to the 2009 International CES in January.
