Specialist, Membership Development
The Consumer Electronics Association has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist in Membership Development to contribute to the growth of CEA membership and related sponsor programs. Critical Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee annual renewal process to include invoicing and working with internal and external resources to aid in overall success of the renewal program. Manage invoice and payment processing for new members and Member to Member (M2M) program participants. Develop and manage outreach to members and prospects to promote benefit awareness, usage and involvement. In cooperation with the rest of the membership department, work with internal staff and external outsource partners to create regular contact with members. Work with division liaisons in referring new individuals to serve on boards, working groups, councils and special interest groups. Work to expand the member prospect database depth through thorough industry research. Coordinate the recruitment and retention of International CES exhibitors. Manage pre-event and post-event needs for key recruitment events such as the Electronic House Expo (EHX) and the International CES. Develop new and innovate ways to increase usage of the members.CE.org site among CEA members. Work with division liaisons to maintain division related content. Serve as the liaison to internal CEA departments for needs relating to renewal and retention. Provide timely and exceptional customer service to prospects and members. This may include phone correspondence, meetings, faxing, mailing and data entry into the salesforce.com database and TIMSS database. Maintain a thorough understanding of all CEA benefits and initiatives and communicate them effectively in order to educate prospects and new members about joining and getting involved. Perform other duties as required by business needs. Work Experience: Two+ years of experience working with association membership programs or retention. Previous experience in marketing, sales or consumer electronics industry a plus. Education/Training: Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, communications or related field required. Skills/Capabilities/Technical: Must have excellent communications skills, be customer/team oriented and have the ability to work with all staff levels. Must be a strategic thinker and problem solver who demonstrates the ability to quickly grasp and analyze ideas and concepts. Must demonstrate ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, change oriented environment. Must be comfortable with new technology. Additional Information: Travel to the International CES, Electronic House Expo and CEA Industry Forum required.
