2008 INTERNATIONAL CES GOES GREEN
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced that the 2008 International CES® is taking unprecedented steps to "go green" by reducing its carbon footprint and with the use of sustainable and energy efficient practices. Produced by CEA, the 2008 International CES, the world’s largest tradeshow for consumer technology, will run January 7-10, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

CEA LAUNCHES CONSUMER EDUCATION INITIATIVE AND SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT REGARDING CE ENERGY CONSUMPTION
The 2007 International CES® Environmental Awareness Day was the largest in show history. CEA CALLS FOR A REDOUBLING OF EFFORTS TO DEVELOP A NATIONAL SOLUTION FOR ELECTRONICS RECYCLING
Today the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®) called for a redoubling of efforts to develop a national solution for electronics recycling, citing the results of a study released today by the National Electronics Recycling Information Clearinghouse (NERIC) at the E-Scrap 2006 conference in Austin, Texas.

CALIFORNIA'S NEW ENERGY CONSUMPTION REGULATION FOR DIGITAL TELEVISION ADAPTERS

Rehr regarding the California Energy Commission's (CEC) mandatory regulation for digital television (DTV) adapters. CEA RECOMMENDS A NATIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR ELECTRONICS RECYCLING TO CONGRESS
In testimony given today before the United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Environment and Hazardous Materials, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA(r)) called for a national framework for electronics recycling. The testimony came as the subcommittee convened for the second of a two-part hearing examining the issue of electronics recycling and the proper federal role.
