Child Safety: It Makes a Difference Where the TV Stands

Television sets placed upon unsuitable furniture or inappropriately mounted to a wall may fall and cause injury. As televisions and flat panel displays get larger, more care is needed in installation. To inform the public of possible dangers associated with television-related incidents, CEA's Product Safety Working Group (PSWG) has provided a flyer for cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions as well as the specific dangers associated with flat panel displays. These flyers are meant to help consumers safely install televisions and flat panel displays. CEA encourages its members to use the flyers as part of their consumer outreach or safety information in their users' manuals. If you would like to customize these documents to your company's needs, please contact
Megan Hayes.
