Description
Does your company export, or would you like to export? Do you sell to a distributor who in turn exports your product? Domestic and international rules of exporting can be difficult to understand and very costly if applied incorrectly. This webinar is designed to help keep your company safe from legal woes that you may not even know exist. Each year companies pay thousands of dollars in burdensome fines for mistakes that can be easily avoided. This webinar will provide an overview of U.S. export controls and sanctions laws and regulations. These apply to all exporters; and regulators such as those at the Departments of the Treasury and Commerce expect all businesses big and small to have at least a basic understanding of their requirements.
Participants will learn
Learn how to determine the types of exports or transactions subject to export controls and sanctions laws. Learn how to self-classify their products to determine applicable controls, or determine whether additional compliance measures are required. Learn about export control and sanctions risk areas (products, regions, transaction types). Learn about entity screening and how to incorporate such screening into existing practices and procedures.
Who should attend
Legal and compliance management from any exporting company.
