If you're wondering what the difference is between a division, a special interest group (SIG) and a council, then let us tell you.
CEA Divisions, Subdivisions and Councils
CEA members have the option of joining one or more product divisions, which are set up to represent the specific interests of that particular product area. In some cases, specific sub-categories are represented by subdivisions or councils. Leadership for all of these member groups is provided by boards comprised of volunteer members, nominated and elected by the members at-large.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Designed to support new association initiatives and actively support emerging technology categories, CEA SIGs are separate from existing governance or member groups. SIGs are specifically formed to incubate a new or under-represented technology category and accomplish defined objectives set by you – our member companies.
