Startup Membership

What is Startup Membership?
From the biggest corporations to the smallest startups, CEA promotes ideas and innovations that drive the industry forward. Companies who qualify for the startup membership category can access the benefits of regular CEA membership at a reduced rate of $95 per year (regular membership dues start at $850). Startup membership does not, however, qualify for a discount on exhibit space at CES.

To qualify for this membership, companies must be in development of a technology product, service or app that has been introduced into the market within the last year or will be within the next year; have annual sales under $1 million; be located in North America; and not have been a CEA member within the past two years. Companies can receive regular CEA membership benefits at the reduced rate in the startup category for no more than two consecutive years.

How Do I Join?

What are the Benefits of Being a Startup Member?

  • Startup Events and Partnerships:
‚ÄčCEA offers a year-long schedule of events that focus on innovation and the startup community. As a Startup Member, events such as CEA Innovate! and Startup Member Month provide excellent opportunities to network and learn from our industry’s leaders. CES also provides a wide variety of programming and events geared specifically towards startups. All of these events present the opportunity to interact with important leaders in the startup space; organizations like 1776, Tech.co, and Startup Grind.

  • Public Policy Advocacy for Startups:
Policymakers must hear from innovators and those who work in the tech industry to make informed decisions. CEA puts entrepreneurs and startups in front of legislators and regulators to learn first-hand the issues they are facing when building their companies.

  • Additional CEA Benefits for Startups:
As a CEA Startup Member, you will have access to exclusive market research, valuable media coverage and expert mentoring from industry veterans. All of these benefits are offered to help grow your business and enhance your connection in the startup community.
