Smartphone, Tablet Owners Reduce Time Using – But Few Eliminate – Standalone Devices, According to CEA Study
Smartphone and tablet owners are spending less time using standalone consumer electronics (CE) devices according to new research study, A Tale of Two Techs – Smartphone and Tablet Adoption and Usage, released today by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®. The study shows consumers continue to use standalone electronic devices, such as digital cameras, but are reducing their usage time as a result of owning a smartphone or tablet. Full Release

CE Industry Sees 27 Percent Increase in Responsible Recycling in 2012
The U.S. consumer electronics (CE) industry continues to make strides toward increasing electronics recycling across the nation, according to a new report released today by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®. The Second Annual Report of the eCycling Leadership Initiative tracks the efforts of the CE industry nationwide to make recycling electronics as easy as purchasing electronics – and to make responsible recycling of electronics an option for consumers in all 50 states. Mobile Devices Lead Electronics Purchases, Finds CEA’s Annual Ownership Study
Consumers’ desire for mobility is driving sales of tablets, smartphones, e-readers and wireless mobile hotspots, according to a new study released today by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®.
