CEA Foundation Announces $50,000 Hearing Assistive Technologies Training Grant to the Hearing Loss Association of America

Electronics, Recycling Associations Seek New Solutions for CRT Glass Recycling, While Acknowledging Options Available Today
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced that while ample markets and downstream vendors appear to exist for recycling cathode ray tube (CRT) glass, about 20 percent of recyclers reported difficulties and are seeking solutions to avoid stockpiling this product, which for many years was the technology of choice for displays such as televisions, computer screens and diagnostic equipment. CEA Announces New Standard Group for Connected Home and Smart Energy
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® announced today that it is forming the R7.8 Working Group 2 to develop a new standard to enable home electronics to communicate energy use data to smart energy management systems and apps. The new standard will be called CE-Energy Usage Information (CE-EUI) and will conform to the North American Energy Standards Board Energy Usage Information (NAESB -EUI) model, which forms the basis for the national Green Button initiative.
