CE Industry Revenues to Reach Record High of $208 Billion in 2014, According to CEA Sales and Forecast Report

Revenues for the consumer electronics (CE) industry are projected to grow 2.4 percent in 2014, reaching a new record high of $208 billion, according to The U.S. Consumer Electronics Sales and Forecasts, the semi-annual industry report released today by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®. The forecast was announced by CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro in his opening remarks today at the 2014 International CES®,  the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, running January 7-10, in Las Vegas, Nevada. CEA Selects Safe Driving, IPv6 Implementation Standards for CESpec Program

Today, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® announced that two of its standards projects have been selected for the CESpec program, which features important industry standards at the 2014 I­­­nternational CES®. The projects address safe use of portable electronics while driving and implementation of IPv6 in consumer electronics (CE) products.  Owned and produced by CEA, CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and will run January 7-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

International CES Producer Donates Funds to Advance Sustainability Efforts in Las Vegas

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, owner and producer of the International CES®, the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, held annually in Las Vegas, today announced the continuation of its tradition to award local organizations with funds for sustainability projects. This year, CEA is donating funds to University of Nevada, Las Vegas’s (UNLV) DesertSol solar house and to the Springs Preserve toward the DesertSol project. Full Release
