Accessories Surge
Another indication of the powerful growth of the "content anywhere" world is the increase in sales of batteries and other accessories. The battery market for the increasingly ubiquitous portable electronics products surpassed $6 billion in 2005, while other accessories – products that make primary devices work better, connect simpler or easier to take along – now account for more than $2 billion. That number is sure to rise dramatically as the portable music and video player market matures.
