Batteries
Consumers are on the move like never before. And their ever-growing posse of digital sidekicks --cell phones, portable CD players, MP3 players, digital cameras, PDAs, portable DVD players and more -- have one thing in common: they all need sufficient battery power to keep up with their unplugged owners. The continuing focus on portability and flexibility will keep the need for batteries at a premium, and CEA predicts the factory unit sales of primary batteries will continue its rise, from $5.7 million in 2004 to a projected $6.3 million in 2005.
