Committee Scope
To address limitations in the CEA-852 protocol and provide improvements in performance, scalability, and robustness, including: *multiple simultaneous configuration transactions *symmetrical use of UDP segmented packets of all types *enhanced channel management, routing, and traffic partitioning *better configuration support for multiple nodes and routers in a single device and improved selective forwarding *multiple devices behind a single NAT router *Dynamic DNS *virtual distributed configuration server *other related changes for improved performance Some of the changes to address these issues might not be backward compatible with earlier versions of the CEA-852 standard.

Current Projects
Drafting CEA-852.1 Enhanced Tunneling Device Area Network Protocols Over Internet Protocol Channels.
To address limitations in the CEA-852 protocol and provide improvements in performance, scalability and robustness.
