2008 International CES Goes Green

Last month, CEA announced that the 2008 International CES is taking unprecedented steps to "go green" by becoming carbon neutral and incorporating the use of sustainable and energy efficient practices.

CEA has formed a partnership with Carbonfund.org, the nation’s leading provider of voluntary climate solutions, to reduce the carbon footprint of this global industry event.  Carbonfund.org will offset the approximately 20,000 tons of carbon associated with the International CES by investing in a combination of certified renewable energy, reforestation and energy efficiency projects.

CEA Re-Launches Legislative Tracking Service for Members
CEA has a new website for state legislative tracking: http://members.ce.org/state. The service, offered exclusively to CEA members tracks the latest state legislation in all of our issue areas.

Previously, CEA had two separate tracking websites: one for environmental and energy efficiency legislation and the other for all other state legislative issues. We believe by combining these services into one website, you will now have access to a more effective interface for tracking all of your state-level issues.

Staff Contacts for State Legislative Issues:
Environment/E-waste: Parker Brugge (pbrugge@ce.org) or Joanne Sonenshine (jsonenshine@ce.org)

Energy Efficiency: Doug Johnson (djohnson@ce.org)

In-Vehicle Electronics, Right to Repair, Driver Distraction, Warranties/Lemon Laws, Rebates: J. David Grossman (jgrossman@ce.org)
